West Paw Toppl Treat Toy

Treat dispensing puzzle toys provide challenging mental stimulation for your dog. Having to figure out how to get to the tasty treats inside can keep them occupied for so long! My go-to choice for a stuffed, interactive toy is the West Paw Toppl treat toy.

The Toppl comes in two sizes, and they can be interlocked for an added challenge. This flexibility means the Toppl will be a favorite no matter your pup’s treat-seeking skill level.

What I like about the Toppl is the opening is wide, making it easier to fill, and easier to clean. It’s shape reminds me of a Webble Wobble toy. From my experience, this helps to keep treats like yogurt or peanut butter, inside the Topple treat toy, and not on your floors.

Like all West Paw Zogoflex toys, the Toppl floats! And it’s dishwasher safe. If your dog doesn’t love it, it’s backed by West Paw’s Love It Guarantee. It’s also BPA and latex free.

Toppl Treat Toy Filling

My favorite way to fill the Toppl is with a frozen treat. It lasts longer, and it’s perfect for cooling off on a hot day! The Banana Mutt Crisp is my go-to recipe from West Paw’s Recipes for Treat Toys

I’ve found there is some flexibility in this recipe. For example, I never use a blender – mashing the banana with a fork, and mixing the ingredients by hand works just as well. This time, I chose non-fat, plain Greek yogurt, and cut the banana into small chunks.

Adding other fruits, like blueberries, or strawberries, is a good way to change it up. After mixing, spoon the filling into the West Paw Toppl treat toy, making sure to fill all the spaces inside. Add some additional chopped fruit on top, and freeze. Bottom line, this recipe is quick and easy. It’s like a healthy dog ice cream treat!
